The Brief

Clear Living were asked to come up with a solution for designing and installing 7 frameless glass hinged door. Additionally the client wanted to install a glass screen to form a corridor between rooms in a private basement conversion to create a private spa/gym area.

The Solution

Clear Living specified and installed glass doors which were sat onto hinges onto the existing walls, with all doors made to measure. The glass doors had standard latch handles. All glass was made from 10mm monolithic toughened.

Doors to private areas were fitted with locks and were made obscure by sandbalsting one side of the glass plates.

For the glass corridor area clear living installed frameless glass sliding doors supported of a pole system which was bolted into the over and side panels. This pole formed a guide with wheels running along this ensuring only a minimal guide was required at the base.

The Result

Frameless glass doors added to the clean feel of the spa area and ensured a modern appearance was created. Mixing clear glass with obscured glass allowed the client to create private areas whilst maintaining high safety standards by using toughened glass.

The glass sliding door screen allowed a corridor to be formed within a room without giving the appearance of loosing space. The sliding pole system ensured that latest glass technology was utilised giving a highly contemporary design.
